(CBD = central business district)
How good is it to go shopping in Melbourne? I love it! You don’t have to buy stuff – you can just look. There are big stores like Myer and David Jones, and little specialist shops that sell souvenirs and food (especially chocolate). There is a spice shop which smells delicious, and silk shops, and tee-shirt shops and of course shoe shops. Yesterday they even had live music in one of the arcades. There are book shops -though not as many as there used to be, and there are cafes and tea shops.
Have a look at the window of this afternoon tea shop- there is often a queue of people waiting to get into this shop in an arcade.
And here is another arcade. Mosaic floors, beautiful windows, and interesting shops.
The next time you come to Melbourne, be sure to visit the city centre. Window shopping is cheap and interesting.
